Germany

Just wanted to let you know, I'm now in Germany!

Before we head off tomorrow, I just wanted to thank all of you who have supported me so far with prayer, money, or just a word of encouragement.  But we're not done yet... if you would continue to pray for me and the 16 other members of my team while we are traveling and while we are there it would be much appreciated.  Thank you again.

Ropes Or No Ropes

Well on the 15th we got to do a team building ropes course.  WE were missing a few people but still had 14 people.  Unfortunately we had cold weather with some rain and sleet mixed in. It made for a pretty cold day.  I don't know if they thought push ups would warm us up or what but we did so many push-ups we though we had taken a wrong turn and ended up in bootcamp.  But we did trust falls and push-ups and moved tires over 10ft poles and more push-ups... but no ropes.  Oddly enough we spent a full day on a ropes course (8am-6pm) and didn't see a single rope.  Oh well.  We got to spend a day growing as a team and learning about each others strengths and weakness.  And now we have some idea what people are like with they are cold, tired, and sick of push-ups.

Money and Spain

Well 22 more days (look I even have a little counter on the blog)!  We're getting very close to leaving and I've almost got all my money in.  I only need $390  $290 more and I'll be ready to go.  So we got our flight times in and we fly from Denver to Dallas to Madrid, Spain to Berlin, Germany.  So we will be spending a lot of time in planes and airports.  The layover in Dallas is only about 2 hours which gives us plenty of time to stretch our legs, get some food, and get to our flight.  But the layover in Madrid is almost 10 hours!  But since we get there at 9:55am and don't leave until 7:45pm we get to take a little side trip to Madrid.

Dates and Deadlines

Only 35 more day left until we leave for Germany (our flight leaves 1:10pm on 5/29), I'm staring to count down the days, and start figuring out what I need to bring, how much extra room I need to bring back souveniors and games and stuff.  You know the usually travel stuff.

Also tomorrow is the deadline I had put on my support letters for money.  I will definately accept money after that but I made the date a little early so I could have the money in and then plan on where to get the rest I need.  Currently I need $765 if you still want to help support me financially let me know.  Thanks

Camera

Well I've been wanting a nice DSLR camera for years, but I decided I was going to get one before I went to Germany (and learn how to use it before I went).  So last week I went to Mike's Camera in Boulder and got my very own Nikon d5000 with an extra zoom lens.  So now I'm going to be playing with the camera, and learning how to use it well.  Hopefully I'll make it to the mountains this weekend and get some good pictures, and maybe I'll even put a few up here for all of you to see

The Mill at the Hills Webpage

The Mill at the Hills finally has their own webpage.  Until now we've made do with a link of the Mill at the Springs page which listed our location and times.  But we've outgrown that.  We have different events, different dates, different small groups and even different sermons.  These are now all listed on the new site.  Check it out if you want to know more about what the Mill is or are just bored...
